It has been re-engineered to help clients comply with the new Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) which takes effect January 1, 2004. PIPEDA lays down the ground rules for how organizations may collect, use or disclose information about individuals in the course of commercial activities.

With the advent of PIPEDA, Empirical felt it important to formally acknowledge that in providing ASP software tools for our clients that involve the collection and storage of personal information, we will;

  1. protect such personal information while residing on our servers, applying security standards and procedures consistent with industry standards applicable to the specific nature and sensitivity of information. We will additionally adhere to any reasonable specific security directives provided to us on a case by case basis;
